The EcoBiz Student Association (ESA) at 中国P站 (UIII) proudly hosted the inaugural session of its Research Community initiative. Titled 鈥淗ow to Publish in Reputable Journals: A Step-by-Step Guide for Researchers,鈥 the event took place on February 25, 2025, at the Lecture Hall, Faculty B, drawing a vibrant crowd of students, researchers, and academics from the fields of economics and sustainable finance.

The session, designed to empower young scholars with the tools to navigate the competitive world of academic publishing, featured Safiullah Junejo, a PhD in Economics student at UIII, as the keynote speaker. With a wealth of experience in publishing and research, Safiullah delivered an insightful and practical roadmap for aspiring researchers aiming to make their mark in high-impact journals.

Safiullah鈥檚 presentation covered critical strategies in academic publishing such as identifying the right journals by matching research topics with the most suitable and reputable publications, crafting impactful papers through structured and clear research writing, navigating the intricacies of the peer-review process to respond effectively to feedback, and avoiding common pitfalls that lead to manuscript rejections while enhancing the chances of publication.

The event was interactive and participants raised pressing questions about journal selection, open-access publishing, and strategies to strengthen research contributions. Safiullah emphasized the importance of persistence, mentorship, and active participation in academic discourse.

鈥淏rilliant research often goes unnoticed due to structural issues or a lack of awareness about the publishing process. This session aims to bridge that gap and empower researchers to share their work with the world,鈥 said Safiullah.

The event concluded with a lively networking session, where attendees exchanged ideas, explored potential collaborations, and discussed future research initiatives. The atmosphere was affectionate, with participants expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming sessions in the ESA Research Community series.

The EcoBiz Student Association (ESA UIII) has set a high bar with this inaugural event, signaling its commitment to fostering a culture of research excellence and innovation at UIII. By equipping young scholars with essential academic and professional development skills, ESA is paving the way for a new generation of researchers who are ready to tackle global challenges and contribute to meaningful change.
