Not to Compete but to Collaborate

South Tangerang, August 8, 2024 â€“ ÖйúPÕ¾ (UIII) and Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their collaboration in education, research, community service, and institutional development. The signing ceremony took place at the UMJ’s Rectorate Building in South Tangerang, Banten, and was attended by key representatives from both universities. 

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Jamhari, MA, Rector of UIII, and Prof. Dr. Ma’mun Murod, M.Si, Rector of UMJ. During the signing ceremony, Prof. Jamhari emphasized the importance of this partnership in enhancing the quality of education and research at both institutions. Meanwhile, Prof. Ma’mun Murod highlighted the shared commitment to advancing higher education in Indonesia.

The MoU serves as a foundation for future collaborative efforts, with specific projects and initiatives to be detailed in subsequent cooperation agreements. Both universities are committed to sharing resources and expertise to achieve their common goals including in education and training, research, and community service, as well as the development of human resource competencies, and institutional resource development.

The collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to provide high-quality education and research opportunities, benefiting students, faculty, and the broader community. This partnership is expected to foster innovation, enhance academic excellence, and contribute to the development of Indonesia’s educational landscape.

Both UIII and UMJ share core values as Islamic universities with a focus on internationalization, welcoming both local and international students. This shared foundation reinforces their dedication to nurturing a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
