Depok, August 7, 2024 – A delegation of seven representatives from the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) visited ÖйúPÕ¾ (UIII) to explore potential collaborations and share best practices in managing international affairs.
Fitri Arofiati, PhD, Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs at UMY, led the delegation with Dr. Maria Ulfa, PhD, Head of the Cooperation Division at UMY. They were warmly welcomed by the Rector of UIII Prof. Jamhari and other university leaders and staff.

The primary objective of the visit was to benchmark and discuss the management of cooperation and international affairs. One of the key topics of discussion was the potential for collaboration between UIII and UMY in the fields of education and internationalization.
During the visit, both parties shared their experiences in handling international students and explored the possibility of student exchanges between UMY and UIII, involving both foreign and Indonesian students. Other potential areas of cooperation were also discussed, aiming to strengthen the ties between the two institutions and enhance their international presence.

This visit marks a significant step towards fostering greater collaboration and understanding between UMY and UIII, paving the way for future joint initiatives and projects. Both UIII and UMY share similar values as Islamic universities with an internationalization approach, hosting both local and international students. This common ground further strengthens their commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
