Depok, March 13, 2025 – The Faculty of Islamic Studies at йPվ (UIII) successfully hosted the FisFastFest 2025 at the Theater Hall of the Faculty A, bringing together undergraduate students across Java to compete in ‘Class of Campuses’ competition. This year’s event carried the theme “TransformMe”, inspired by the Transformers movie, emphasizing transformation and growth for each participant involved.
The event welcomed representatives from 12 universities in Java such as University of Darussalam Gontor (East Java), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta, and Universitas Al Azhar Jakarta, LIPIA, Univeristas Islam Negeri (UIN) Jakarta and Banten. Students participated in an intense Quiz Competition, where the teams competed in a fast-paced format to answer challenging questions provided by the organizing committee.
Dr. Bhirawa Anoraga, the mastermind and convener of FisFastFest event, highlighted the enthusiastic response from the students. “We received dozens of applications from universities, but we could only accommodate 12 groups,” he said. “We call it Class of Campuses and we hope the students can have ‘TranformMe’ moment by participating in this event.”
The Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Prof. Yanwar Pribadi, emphasized the significance of this year’s event in fostering academic exchange. “This is the first time for us to invite students from outside UIII to participate in the event,” the Dean said. “We hope FisFastFest serves as a platform for intellectual competition and meaningful transformation for all participants.”
Apart from the competition, the event also featured an inspiring talk show with Irfan Amalee, co-founder of Peace Generation Indonesia and Peacesantren Welas Asih, alongside Maysa Sonia, a UIII alumna who currently serves as Program Manager for Global Affairs at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Both speakers shared insights on navigating personal and professional transformation, encouraging students to embrace change and continuous learning.
Through FisFastFest 2025, UIII not only reinforced its role as a center for academic and cultural exchange but also empowered young generation to push their intellectual boundaries, foster meaningful connections, and embark on transformative journeys. The event concluded with renewed enthusiasm among participants, setting the stage for future collaborations and competitions in the years to come.
