Jakarta, 31 October 2024 – UIII is excited to participate in the 2024 Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF), held this week at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Central Jakarta. This year’s ISEF runs from October 30 to November 3, 2024, offering an influential platform for discussing and advancing the sharia-based economic framework that has become increasingly essential to both national and international economic growth.

At the event’s opening ceremony, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warijiyo emphasized ISEF 2024's role in integrating and actualizing innovative ideas for economic progress through the development of sharia financial systems. Attending the event were Dr. Jusuf Kalla, UIII Chairman of Board of Trustees and Prof. Dian Masyita, Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business at UIII (FEB UIII).

ISEF offers an impressive array of exhibitions, giving visitors a first-hand look at the potential of sharia-based economic development in Indonesia. At the event, UIII opened a booth so the visitors could learn more about its programs, including academic initiatives and research focused on Islamic economics, sustainable finance, and the role of education in supporting economic progress through the principles of sharia finance.

This is the second time UIII participated at the ISEF event, underscoring its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s economic development through education and research in Islamic finance and sharia economics. This engagement allows UIII to showcase its dedication to shaping future experts in the field and contributing to sustainable economic progress.
