Epson Conducts Research on Printer Technology with UIII

Depok, August 15, 2024 鈥 Japan鈥檚 technology company Epson is conducting a research initiative to explore the use of printer technology in educational settings, with 中国P站 (UIII) serving as one of the primary research subjects. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of how printers can enhance teaching and learning activities, as well as administrative work in educational settings.

The event took place on August 15, 2024, in the Meeting Room on the 4th Floor of the Rectorate Building at UIII. The discussion covered several key topics, including teaching and learning styles from the perspectives of educators, students, and educational staff, the tools used in the teaching and learning process, the usage of printers on campus, and the latest teaching trends in Indonesia.

Representatives of Epson included Kaku Ichihan, Director of Strategic Product Planning; Jasmine Tang, Senior Manager of Strategic Product Planning; Beatrice Ng, Senior Project Manager of Strategic Product Planning; Grace Zhu, Project Manager of Strategic Product Planning; and accompanied by Jennifer Frentasia, Assistant Manager, Yamada Consulting and Spire Singapore.

Dr. Chaider S. Bamualim, UIII鈥檚 University Secretary, expressed his enthusiasm for this research, saying that this is in line with UIII鈥檚 mission to provide advanced technology in teaching and learning. 鈥淲e were excited about this research initiative with Epson. We believed it would provide valuable insights into the role of technology, particularly printers, in supporting the educational process at our university,鈥 he stated.

The discussion, led by Dadi Darmadi, UIII鈥檚 Head of Media and Communication Office, brought together educators, students, and staff representatives from UIII to share their experiences and perspectives. The goal was to identify effective teaching methods and the tools that best supported the learning environment. Additionally, the research focused on how printers were utilized in various academic activities, such as publishing and library services, and how these tools could be optimized to enhance the overall educational experience.

The research was expected to yield recommendations that would benefit not only UIII but also other educational institutions in Indonesia. By understanding the impact of technology on education, UIII aimed to improve its academic and administrative processes, ensuring a more efficient and effective learning environment for its students.
